Stop Feeding the Devil!

Do you know what the devil eats?  The devil eats faith!  (hope + trust = faith)  It’s the thing he wants most to destroy. The devil hates you with a vengeance.  The Bible tells us he prowls around like a roaring lion.  He comes to steal, kill, and destroy.   He does this by eating your faith.  As I tell my sisters and brothers at the juvenile detention center, “Doubt and fear are the devil’s favorite tools to steal your faith, to steal your bounce back, to steal your “I am immortal” mentality.”

The devil attacks you in a variety of ways, but you can always have the victory if you know the word of God.  The Holy Spirit will make you aware of what is happening.  Then the Holy Spirit will remind you of relevant scriptures to replace the evil thoughts the devil is suggesting. When you listen, you can replace the evil thoughts with good thoughts. This is how we overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21). Say goodbye to  anger, anxiety, fear and doubt.   The Word of God will protect you in every emotional battle you will encounter.

Remember, the devil tempted Jesus when Jesus was physically weak and hungry.  Jesus was not spiritually weak and hungry, however.  Jesus quoted scripture and the first scripture He quoted was Man cannot live by bread alone.  Jesus won with each temptation presented by the devil because he relied on the Word of God.  I say Jesus walked around with the mind of God. Imagine walking around with the mind of God as Jesus did.  The only way to come close to walking around with the mind of God is by memorizing scripture.  Then, just like Jesus you can also win each temptation presented by the devil.  With the word of God as your weapon, it’s a fixed fight! The devil will lose every time.  The devil can’t fight the word.   Memorizing and meditating on the word of God improves your belief in and obedience to the word.  It “levels up” your faith.  Faith conquers fear and doubt!  Faith conquers the devil!
